Exploring the County of Marin:
If you come to the San Francisco Bay Area make sure you visit Marin county. It is 3o minutes north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. A county known for its natural beauty you have to experience visiting places such as Stinson Beach, Muir Woods, Muir Beach, Mt. Tam and many of the towns hiking and mountain biking trails particularly Pantoll’s Dip Sea trail at the heart of Mt. Tam. I would highly recommend going to Cataract Falls and Bon Tempe State Park in Fairfax or Cascade Falls in Mill Valley. There are small water falls along the trails of Cataract and Cascade.
Marin’s main town of San Rafael has the Frank Loyd Wright building to boast about. One of the greatest architects, Mr. Wright designed this monument which juts out as you drive on Highway 101 on the way to the one of the world’s best wine regions, the Napa and Sonoma valley. This unique building not only adds beauty to its surrounding environment, but is well placed among its natural surroundings and houses The Marin Marin County Civic Center. This historical building draws visitors from around the world and was built 54 years ago.
Also located in the county of Marin is George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, Autodesk, San Quentin Prison, Auto CAD and Autodesk. Growth in the bio industry such as Bio Marin has just built a large building in the town San Rafael.
Indeed as you visit this fine county Muir Woods redwood forest, the Marin Headlands, Stinson Beach, the Point Reyes National Seashore and the glorious Mount Tamalpais are must in your itinerary.
These are just a few places to visit. I will continue to explore and ventured out to the fine restaurants, spiritual, art and cultural events that all need to see when you Tiburon, Sausalito, Corte Madera, Greenbrae, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Ross, Novato, Ignacio, Woodacre, Pt, Reyes and other towns of Marin.
